Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

One thing that I find very fascinating in web development is Search Engine Optimization (SEO). In some ways optimizing a website for search can be quite predictable but in other ways it is a form of art. A well optimized site, in my mind, is art. I enjoy the challenge of optimizing a site for Google front page results with particular keywords. The real challenge comes from keywords or keyword phrases that are most popular. It is not too difficult to get top results with unusual keywords that nobody uses. My current (or main) projects, at this time, are Medical Mile LIVE!, Property Acquest and Your Town Business. Medical Mile-LIVE! is doing very well in Google and Yahoo top search results. There is a wide range of keywords relating to the medical mile including medical professionals, real estate and property management companies, relocating to live on the medical mile in grand rapids, finding apartments or homes in Grand Rapids dining and lodging on the medical mile and the list is really endless. Property Acquest is also doing well in top search results with keywords relating to property management and real estate in Grand Rapids Michigan. Your Town Business is a social networking site allowing individuals and businesses to create an account and have friends much like Myspace and Facebook.

Your article was a good read, and I like the way you write. By the way, let me recommend you an air swimmer as an awesome X-mas gift. Hope you'll like it.

Another simple on page search engine optimization technique you can use is to re-order your title tags. Do not use the exact same or very similar title tag for every single page on your website. Changing the order throughout the website just increases the likelihood your page will be picked up by the search engines.
